BOUNTY HUNTER Walnut Creek is RE-LAUNCHING this fall with a new concept, menu and vibe! Be a part of the exciting re-opening under NEW management, and whole new team. We are seeking a Chef de Cuisine for our re-launch who wants to collaborate and be part of the new menu concept we have created, and develop an efficient and consistent kitchen team.
Located in the heart of Downtown Walnut Creek, the Bounty Hunter is a place where you can enjoy wine, food and spirits. We offer incredible food, an impressive selection of fine wines, and a full bar with a creative cocktail menu. Perfect for a business dinner, dinner with a group of friends or a romantic date night out! Similar to our original location in Napa, Walnut Creek Bounty Hunter not only boasts a wine list of small selective producers from California, but a large inventory of international wines, available to taste or enjoy with a meal in our lush and sophisticated setting.
This role is a salary positions, expected to work 50 hours a week (5 days a week with 2 days off in a row).
This role includes overseeing and directing the daily kitchen operations, staffing (including but not limited to hiring and training), maintaining policies and standards, and harmonizing the team around the restaurant's mission and values. This individual should lead the team to create a positive and productive working environment, while always being focused on creating and fostering the hospitality experience for all guests.
Qualified candidates should have experience in the following areas:
Ensures that all products are received in correct unit, count and condition.
Responsible for production work to benefit the restaurant: Butchering, Braises, Stocks, Prep List Execution
Fill in where needed on station to ensure that service standards and efficient operations are met.
Collaborate and attend all scheduled manager meetings and participate with opinions or ideas pertaining to the agenda.
Ordering, inventory, cost analysis, menu development and recipe development.
Strong communication and organization skills, Spanish speaking a plus!
A hard-working team player that values and leads with honesty and integrity
Ability to collaborate with BH Ownership as well as new management group
Experience working in a fast-paced dining environment
Must be able to carry boxes and lift up to 50lbs
Must have or be able to obtain all necessary certifications including - Sexual Harassment Certification, Manager Food Handlers Certification.
