Job Summary:
As a Bartender or Server at Jo's Modern Thai Restaurant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an outstanding dining experience. You will provide excellent customer service, serving a variety of delicious Thai-inspired dishes and handcrafted cocktails. Your friendly and outgoing personality, along with your ability to work collaboratively in a team, will contribute to the vibrant atmosphere we strive to create for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner, creating a positive first impression.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, making recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes.
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies.
- Provide exceptional table service, delivering food and beverages promptly and accurately.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest questions confidently.
- Upsell and promote daily specials, cocktails, and desserts to enhance the guest experience.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender or server in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wine is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Outstanding customer service skills, with a genuine passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure, maintaining a positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in order taking, billing, and handling cash.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
