About the Position:
We are looking for a highly organized and personable individual to join our team as a host. In this role, you will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, assisting with table turns, and maintaining a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. Additionally, hosts at Horsefeather contribute by serving guests 30% of the time and hosting 70%, making it a multifaceted position ideal for those who enjoy a dynamic environment. WE WORK ON A HOUSE POOL TIP SYSTEM. TIP COMPENSATION FOR THIS POSITION IS AN EQUAL SHARE TO THAT OF A BARTENDER AND SERVER.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek someone who is warm, outgoing, and passionate about providing exceptional hospitality. Our ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced setting and is detail-oriented with strong multitasking skills. A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure are essential.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a host in a fast-paced restaurant setting
Familiarity with POS systems (Toast preferred)
Experience with reservation and waitlist systems (OpenTable preferred)
Current California Food Handler’s Card
Strong communication skills in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
Ability to stand, walk, and assist guests for extended periods
Experience in floor management or serving is a plus
