Va de Vi Bistro & Wine Bar is an extremely busy restaurant located in downtown Walnut Creek. We are searching for someone who can host and/or run food with a great attitude, a passion for food, wine and customer service. Must be able to work full or part time, including weekends and holidays. We require a food handlers certificate and CA Harassment training certificate within 30 days of employment.
HOST:
As a host you control our guest's first impression of Va de Vi. This position requires the ability to multi-task while maintaining a pleasant and welcoming demeanor to our guests. Must be able to handle all guests in a professional manner and communicate with the management and other staff effectively. Prior hosting experience and Open Table knowledge is a plus.
FOOD RUNNING:
This position requires you to be the liaison between the kitchen and the front of house. Must be able to memorize and easily recall table numbers and seat numbers, responsible for ensuring the guest has all needed items when delivering food and communicate with service staff to ensure all of the guests needs are met, communicate with staff (FOH & BOH) and management if there are any issues during your shift, keep your station clean, be very organized, focused and professional. Prior running experience is a plus.
