Position Overview
Fieldwork Brewing Company is seeking dependable, skilled Kitchen Associates (Line Cooks) to join our team in San Ramon. This role is ideal for cooks who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, enjoy pizza production, and take pride in preparing food that matches the quality of our beer.
This position is strictly culinary execution—prep, cooking, consistency, and maintaining kitchen standards—without supervisory or advancement responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Prepare pizzas, salads, and other menu items following Fieldwork recipes and quality standards.
-Assist with pizza dough production and dough handling as needed.
-Complete daily prep using established checklists and standard operating procedures.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
-Follow all food safety and sanitation requirements, including labeling, storage, and temperature logs.
-Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
-Communicate professionally with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
-Maintain a strong working knowledge of ingredients, including allergen awareness.
-Fill in for any kitchen role as needed, including line cooking, prep, dishwashing, restocking, and closing tasks.
-Uphold all Fieldwork standards regarding safety, quality, and cleanliness.
-Maintain consistent availability and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
Qualifications
-Must be at least 18 years old.
-Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
-Prior restaurant, bakery, pizzeria, or high-volume kitchen experience preferred.
-Valid California Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
-Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and reach for up to 8 hours per shift.
-Comfortable working in a compact, high-volume kitchen environment.
-Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability.
-Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not required.
-Open availability required, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation
-$20.00 – $22.00/hr, depending on experience
-Tips typically add an additional $4.00 – $6.00/hr

-4–5 shifts per week
