Job Overview: The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory. This role ensures the proper tracking, storage, and monitoring of stock levels, and coordinates with various departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient use of materials. The Inventory Clerk will also assist in conducting regular audits to maintain data accuracy and support overall supply chain activities. This is a full-time job Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and record all incoming inventory and supplies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock levels using inventory management systems.
Perform regular stock audits and reconcile physical counts with system data.
Organize and store inventory in an efficient, accessible, and safe manner.
Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to track orders and shipments.
Monitor stock levels and notify management when inventory falls below re-order points.
Assist in preparing reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and other issues as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations in inventory storage areas.
Process inventory returns, transfers, and adjustments when necessary.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management processes.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse, or supply chain roles.
Proficiency with inventory software, databases, and MS Office (particularly Excel and Quickbooks).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift and move heavy items, as needed.
Knowledge of inventory control procedures and basic warehouse safety.
Working Conditions:
Primarily warehouse or storage environment.
May involve standing for extended periods and physical tasks such as lifting up to 60 pounds, carrying, or operating equipment.
