Jo’s Modern Thai is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant in Oakland. We’re known for bold Thai flavors, warm hospitality, and a lively, fast-paced dining room.
The Role:
This is not a typical server job. At Jo’s, servers are cross-trained to:
Serve guests with energy and warmth
Run and buss your own tables
Run drinks and support the bar
Jump in on hosting (greet, seat, manage flow)
Build relationships with locals and regulars
Must-Haves:
Passion for Thai food & culture
Previous restaurant experience (1–2 years minimum)
Hospitality-driven — you love making guests feel welcome
Fast, efficient, and thrive in a busy environment
Team player mindset — no task is beneath you

Dinner-only service, 70 seats, high energy
Nights & weekends required, 3–5 shifts per week
