Kitchen Associate for Superfood Production

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Kitchen Associate to join our dynamic back-of-house team. In this role, you will work closely with our Kitchen Leader to prepare and create a variety of nutritious, wholesome, and delicious menu items, including juices, smoothies, salads, and raw vegan treats.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of healthy, high-quality food and beverage items following established recipes and guidelines.

Prepare ingredients for juices, smoothies, salads, and other menu items, including washing, chopping, and portioning fruits and vegetables.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.

Assist with the proper storage and rotation of ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize waste.

Collaborate with the Kitchen Leader and other team members to ensure timely and accurate execution of orders.

Support the Kitchen Leader in managing inventory, restocking, and placing orders for necessary ingredients and supplies.

Participate in regular kitchen maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment, organizing storage areas, and disposing of waste properly.

Maintain open communication with the Kitchen Leader and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and customer satisfaction.

Engage in ongoing training and development to expand knowledge of healthy food preparation techniques, dietary trends, and food safety practices.

Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned by the Kitchen Leader or management.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school education or relevant coursework a plus.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen setting, preferably in a health-focused or plant-based establishment.

Strong passion for healthy eating, nutrition, and wholesome food preparation.

Knowledge of various dietary restrictions and preferences, such as vegan, gluten-free, and raw food diets.

Excellent knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking techniques.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.

Food Handler's certification or willingness to obtain one upon hire.

Weekend availability.
