About Last Rites:
The first adventure bar in San Francisco, Last Rites is an immersive cocktail experience located in Duboce Triangle just off the Castro. Serving a dark take on Tiki, our cocktails are rum-centric but also include a diverse array of spirits and eclectic ingredients.
About the position:
BARTENDERS are responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests seated at the bar as well as fulfilling orders placed by the serving staff. Bartenders must maintain consistent cleanliness of their station as well as ensuring the bar is presentable at all times. Our cocktail menu can be complex for the novice bartender. While applicants should be experienced working with fast paced cocktail driven programs, a willingness to learn is a top priority.
SERVERS are responsible for greeting guests, explaining the menu, taking orders, running drinks, and bussing tables. We run with a small staff and minimal support staff. That being said, the server is responsible for all aspects of the guest experience.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking a warm, positive, and outgoing individual, with a strong passion and willingness to learn about our beverage program ad culture. Someone who exudes excellent people skills, and a true desire to work well with others. We seek a master multitasker who is detail oriented and comfortable in a high volume, fast paced environment.
While the position will be predominantly bartending, cross-training is vital to our model and you must be willing and able to serve as well.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years prior bartending in a fast paced restaurant / bar
Serving experience is a plus
Experience with popular POS systems (Toast preferred)
Current California Food Handlers Card
Valid RBS certificate
Must be able to communicate in English (speak, read, write)
Must be able to stand, walk, lift, serve for an extended period of time
