Job Description: Hi Hat is seeking a dedicated and versatile Kitchen Manager who can proficiently work across all kitchen stations. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish and possess the skills necessary to train and mentor new kitchen staff members. Responsibilities:
-Work efficiently across all kitchen stations, including but not limited to: prep, pizza baking, grilling, deep frying
-Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
-Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering
-Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
-Train, mentor, and support new kitchen staff, ensuring they understand kitchen procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations.
-Provide bilingual support (English and Spanish) to facilitate effective communication and training within the kitchen team.
-Assist in developing and updating training materials and standard operating procedures.
-Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
-3 years experience with pizza dough preparation and production, proofing, etc
-Proven experience working in a kitchen environment, with the ability to work across multiple stations.
-Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
-Previous experience in training or mentoring kitchen staff is highly desirable.
-Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
-Certified ServSafe
Physical Requirements:
-Ability to stand for extended periods.
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
-Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced environment.
