Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto's interpretation of Modern Japanese fare, Morimoto Napa is now hiring energetic and qualified Servers. Runners and Hosts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures our extraordinary Guest Service standards are maintained at all times.
Serves exciting, innovative, and delicious food and beverages for guests per the established standards of service.
Assures that sequence of service standards is met by greeting guests, taking orders, directing guests to amenities and monitoring/meeting guest needs and requests.
Maintains knowledge of menu cuisine, wine list, special items, etc. featured in the restaurant.
Must maintain knowledge menu items and ingredients.
Demonstrates a courteous, friendly, congenial, polite, professional and efficient attitude.
Must be able to operate computer and point-of-sale (POS) equipment with accuracy and appropriate speed.
Ability to communicate, [orally and/or in writing], by providing and obtaining information of a complex, technical or sensitive nature, effectively, clearly, correctly, concisely, completely, logically, in a timely manner, and at an appropriate level and format, while maintaining confidentiality.
Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet and to manipulate them from heights which may require the use of a footstool.
Skills and Qualifications
Evening and Weekend Availability a MUST!
Team-service experience is strongly recommended.
Customer service orientation should consist of the organization, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to work in teams.
A minimum of six (6) months of experience for Food Runner, and A minimum of one (1) year of experience for Server in comparable fast-paced restaurant
Knowledge/familiarity with Japanese cuisine is a plus.
Strong preference for candidates with experience in California.
