Sous Chef – Café Noir

Café Noir is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our growing culinary team. The ideal candidate has senior-level kitchen experience and a strong background on the line, with the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, scratch-made kitchen.
Responsibilities:
Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, menu execution, and food quality.
Lead and train line cooks to ensure consistency, efficiency, and high culinary standards.
Oversee prep and service on the line; ensure proper timing, plating, and portion control.
Maintain a clean, organized kitchen that meets health and safety standards.
Assist in inventory management, ordering, and minimizing waste.
Uphold Café Noir’s commitment to providing exceptional, affordable food made from scratch.
Qualifications:
5+ years of professional kitchen experience, including leadership and line cooking.
Strong knife skills and deep knowledge of classic and modern cooking techniques.
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple stations simultaneously.
