San Francisco's Hometown Creamery is looking for a responsible and charismatic addition to their team that would be one of the event staff leads as well as a team member at either the flagship location in the Inner Sunset or the new location in Hayes Valley
Responsibilities:
Shop:
- front of house server at busy scoop shop
- Opening/ closing the shop
- Fulfilling expected responsibilities of a cross trained team member: Service, register, cleaning, basic food prep work
Catering:
- Preparing for and carrying out the contracted service agreements for catering events. Preparation includes:
-Gathering all materials for each event
-Preparing, loading/unloading the ice cream pushcart onto the transit van
-Driving transit van to and from events
-Being punctual
-Representing SFHC in fun and professional manner
- Towing the VW Bus-trailer.
VW Bus
VW Bus 1: ( Manual transmission only)
-Drive to and from events,
- serve either alone or with team member (depending on event size)
VW Bus-trailer:
-Towing VW Bus trailer with transit van to Marina permit location or catering event
-operating as the server.
20+ Hours/week
Requirements
-Catering or special event service experience
-Familiarty with driving large vehicles: eg. trucks/ transit vans
-Valid driver’s license
-Customer service experience in a fast paced setting
-Weekend availability
-3 references
Bonus and preference to those that are able to drive manual (stick shift) transmission
