The Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Line Cook with at least 5 years of professional experience. If you are a morning person who loves cooking but wants a stable schedule with evenings off, this is the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Execution: Prepare high-quality ingredients (chopping, butchery, sauces) and cook menu items with consistency. Taste and adjust soups, sauces, and dressings to ensure perfection.
Leadership & Training: Help train new hires, assist with kitchen workflow, and provide guidance to junior prep cooks.
Operations: Assist with inventory and receiving/storing deliveries.
Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a spotless workspace, follow strict health guidelines, and manage daily cleaning checklists.
Teamwork: Collaborate closely with the kitchen team and assist with dishwashing as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
Requirements:
5+ years of professional kitchen experience is required.
Strong background in food ordering, inventory, and kitchen organization.
Previous catering experience is a major plus.
Reliable transportation to Scotts Valley (shifts start strictly at 5:00 AM).
Ability to work weekends periodically based on event schedules.
Schedule:
Primary Shift: Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM.
Note: You must be a morning person. Reliability at 5:00 AM is imperative.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting Pay: $25/hr
Benefits: Health insurance, retirement plan, and vacation pay (available after introductory period).
