Blue Note Napa is hiring ushers for our summer concert season at the Meritage Resort. Concerts begin on May 18 and will run throughout September.
Ushers create a welcoming environment for patrons, assist patrons to their destination, direct patron traffic and provide event and venue information.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Greet patrons with a smile
If needed, scan tickets and help wristband patrons
Help patrons with directions to elevator, bathrooms and exits before, during and after event.
Help keep venue entry/exits clear
Watch for safety issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and report to House Management.
If a seated event, may help to put labels on chairs, and assist patrons to their seats
Hold position to be visible to patrons for directions and ticket locations
Minimum Requirements
Must be reliable
Must be available to work mostly evening hours, weekends, and/or some days as needed
Must be able to stand for shift periods
Must be a team player
Must speak English fluently
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must like working with the public
Ability to communicate with all ages, genders, and personalities
Ability to communicate in a clear speaking voice
Ability to work independently
Dress in all black business-casual attire as requested
Must be presentable in appearance
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Noise level may be moderate to high at times. (Earplugs are available)
Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
Music or Performance venue experience is a plus, but not required.
