Pastry Cook/Ice Cream production

The Ice Cream Bar is a 1930's style soda fountain and ice cream shop, where everything is made in-house, from scratch. We are looking for someone with pastry experience, who would enjoy working within a small team, at an independent neighborhood restaurant. The position is part time pastry cook. The duties include preparing and spinning ice cream bases, and also making the sauces, baked goods and candies that are components in the ice creams. To start, the position would be 2-3 days/week, with the potential for additional days.

The ideal candidate must have:

- the confidence and ability to work independently

- the ability to multitask and work quickly

- the willingness to learn, and take direction

- 1 year professional kitchen experience, and preferably some ice cream production experience

- good communication skills
