We’re seeking an experienced home cook specializing in Mexican/Asian cuisine to prepare healthy, flavorful meals for an executive household.
Scope and Schedule
- Location: San Francisco (on-site cooking; limited off-site prep as needed)
- Schedule: 5+ days per week, breakfast and lunch or dinner for 2–3 people; occasional small gatherings
- Start: Flexible; interviews/trials starting immediately
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare breakfast and lunch/dinner menus focused primarily on Mexican and/or Asian cuisine (chinese/indian/southeast asian)
- Shop for groceries, manage pantry, and source seasonal/organic ingredients
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen; handle cleanup after service
- Coordinate occasional small dinner parties and special occasions
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience as a private chef/home cook or in professional kitchens
- Strong command of asian spices, techniques, and regional dishes
- Proven ability to deliver balanced, nutritious menus (veg-forward a plus)
- Excellent kitchen hygiene and organization
- Discreet, punctual, and comfortable working independently
- Valid driver’s license and ability to handle shopping and sourcing
Nice to Have
- Experience with other cuisine types
- Knowledge of menu planning for fitness/wellness goals
- Familiarity with Bay Area seasonal produce
Compensation
- Monthly salary between $8-12K per month, plus expenses
- More if open to travel (family travels substantially) including international
