Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all quality assurance activities in food manufacturing, from raw ingredients to finished products.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company standards.
Lead and supervise the working team, providing training and guidance to ensure proper quality checks are performed at every production stage.
Perform routine and ad-hoc inspections, tests, and audits to verify product quality, including texture, color, taste, and packaging.
Troubleshoot and address quality issues promptly, working with production and management teams to find solutions.
Maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities, including reports, corrective actions, and audit results.
Coordinate and oversee product recalls and manage traceability records if needed.
Monitor and ensure compliance with industry regulations, including food safety, health, and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, FDA, and USDA).
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and minimize waste.
Requirements:
Proven experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, preferably in food manufacturing (Italian food production experience a plus).
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, food safety regulations, and HACCP principles.
Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking, with the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
Familiarity with quality control tools, inspection techniques, and documentation software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
