District San Jose is looking for a new GM. This is a hybrid role that combines management with 2 shifts per week on the floor or behind the bar. The ideal candidate will have experience both serving and bartending in addition to management. We understand it's a unique individual who can balance management and shift responsibilities and we pay accordingly. GMs at District earn a minimum of $90K guaranteed.
This position would report directly to ownership. As GM, you are responsible for the overall customer experience from beginning to end. Specifically you will be responsible for the following areas:
oversee front of house staff to ensure a high level of customer service and maximum efficiency
staffing / scheduling
work with Chef to ensure front of house and back of house work together seamlessly - coordinate orders, etc.
run bi-weekly payroll and do daily tips / cash handling
manage the bar program and organize inventory and orders - delegate stocking/ daily inventory/ cleaning schedule
approve invoices and perform monthly inventory
responsible for all required programming for POS software (Toast)
coordinate event protocols with the team and execute events with the kitchen during
manage reservations and the event calendar (Resy / Google)
