We are looking to add a bagel roller to our team.
Bagel rolling is an art, as is working with dough. This is however, a very physical repetitive job. On various days we are rolling anywhere between 320-1000 bagels per day.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to work at a fast pace, but also consistently, and understand the detail required to have every bagel made look close to the last one.
This role will start with about 30 hours per week. If you excel at the bagel rolling, we are happy to give you the responsibility of making the dough as well which will turn this role into a full time role 40hrs/week.
This position will work Tuesday-Saturday 9am-3pm. If you excel at the bagel rolling, your hours will be 6am-2:30pm.
We will pay $20/hr, you will receive shared tips, health insurance stipend, and paid time off +sick leave.
Experience with dough is important, but not essential. It is also important how you can fit in with the culture of the team.
Hella Bagels is a bagel shop in Albany, CA right on the border of Berkeley. We first opened our doors in March of 2024 and it's been such an exciting ride of growth, community, and love ever since.
