Telescope Coffee is a women-owned cafe with house made pastries. We are located in SoMA West. We are seeking baristas to join our team with the intention to grow into a management position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service
-Ensure food and health code standards are being met in both café and kitchen areas
-Maintain presentations for the café retail display and more
-Train staff, including opening/closing procedures, money handling, product knowledge, food service standards and menu items.
-Jump in to assist other employees when necessary due to unexpected absence or extra volume.
-Inform and educate Staff on new menu item launches
-Ensure equipment is maintained and serviced; report any breakage or maintenance needs to your manager in a timely manner.
-Train staff on safety and ensure all safety measures are followed.
-Other duties as assigned.

-Passion for creating a great customer service experience.
-Ability to train and motivate staff in providing the best customer service and maintaining high standards.
-Must be available to work varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
-Understanding of financial reports and ability to adjust accordingly to meet targets.
-Strong time management skills and accuracy to deal with a variety of duties and changing work environment.
-Must work well with employees and guests, exercising tact and patience in all situations.
-Excellent communication skills
