Delfina, San Francisco's beloved James Beard Award–winning trattoria, has been a pioneer in Cal-Italian cuisine for over 25 years. We are known for our live-fire cooking, handmade pasta, and a daily changing menu. We pride ourselves on sourcing directly from local farmers (including our own), ranchers, fishermen, and artisan producers. Delfina provides a structured and supportive environment with opportunities to gain financial acumen through open-book management.
We are currently seeking a Sous Chef who is eager to learn and grow in a high-volume, detail-oriented restaurant environment.
The Role
Oversee all aspects of daily kitchen operations.
Maintain and uphold quality standards.
Source and utilize premium ingredients from the Bay Area's top purveyors and farmers.
Collaborate with a talented and cohesive team.
Prepare exceptional Italian cuisine.
Lead inspiring and educational line-ups for both FOH and BOH staff.

The Ideal Candidate

Possesses a strong work ethic, ambition, and a desire to learn.
Serious and passionate about a career in the restaurant industry.
Has 4–5 years of cooking experience in reputable kitchens.
