We are seeking an experienced piercing studio manager at our busy piercing studio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in studio management, excellent managerial skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the piercing studio, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for clients.
- Supervise a team of piercers and administrative staff, providing guidance and support as needed including onboarding of new staff members, disseminating information regarding company policies and procedures, completion of performance reviews and disciplinary interventions as needed.
-Create and manage schedule of team of piercers, apprentices and support staff to meet the customer service needs of the studio and ensure coverage for shifts during staff absences.
-Manage timecards, commission reports and generate payroll. Provide reports to staff and upper management related to pay.
Review contracts with independent contractors and ensure all staff sign written contracts in accordance with company standards
- Schedule appointments, manage customer flow, and ensure timely services.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct staff training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in body piercing.
- Implement marketing strategies as directed by Managing Directors, attract new clients and retain existing ones. Ensure receipt of customer reviews and feedback and manage reviews as needed.
- Monitor financial performance related to operational costs, and make informed decisions to drive profitability.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and innovations to maintain a competitive edge.
-Manage, procure and report inventory and supplies as needed for all aspects of studio service.
-Report and manage maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in studio management or a related field (retail, spa, gallery, bar,etc) with a minimum of 2-3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to body piercing.
- Customer-oriented approach with a focus on enhancing the client experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Basic piercing skills or willingness and ability to learn basic piercing skills
Pay Structure:
- Base Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Bonus Potential: Potential for up to 20% of base salary based on key performance indicators (KPIs), which may include:
- Sales Performance: Achieving monthly revenue targets.
- Customer Satisfaction: Maintaining a high level of customer ratings and positive reviews.
- Employee Retention: Keeping staff turnover rates low through effective management and training.
- Compliance: Adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining studio licenses and certifications.
-Social Media Activity: Ensuring the creation of approved photographic and video documentation of piercing experience for use across social media platforms.
Pay Range
The total compensation structure is designed to attract top talent in San Jose, with a competitive base salary supplemented by potential performance-based bonuses.
