Line Cook (Sandwich & Tartine Maker)
Job Status: Part-Time
Hourly Rate: $19.62 + Tips
Schedule: Friday through Sunday, 10:30 AM - 6:45 PM (weekends are required)
Job Summary:
The Line Cook (Sandwich & Tartine Maker) will work closely with the Chef and Sous Chefs to execute food preparation, service, and maintain kitchen standards. This role includes producing high-quality sandwiches and tartines, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and upholding Tartine’s culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute menu items, ensuring quality and consistency.
Maintain clean and organized stations, following proper food safety protocols.
Write prep lists and coordinate mise en place for service.
Assist with kitchen cleaning, organization, and equipment maintenance.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with the team.
Adhere to Tartine’s culture, values, and high culinary standards.
Maximize efficiency in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
18 years or older with a high school diploma (culinary education preferred but not required).
Valid California Food Handlers Certificate.
Ability to communicate in English and basic Spanish.
Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills.
Must be well-groomed, maintain proper hygiene, and have required tools and uniform.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work standing for extended periods.
