Union Square restaurant, Tratto, located in the Marker Hotel off Geary Street, is seeking an experienced Sous Chef. A spirited, bar-driven restaurant serving rustic Italian fare with modern sensibilities, Tratto means the stroke of a pen in Italian, a nod to the neighborhood’s artistic history. A flavorful menu of simple, delicious and shareable dishes coupled with casual, communal-style dining creates a neighborhood bar experience inspired by the Italian happy hour tradition of "aperitivo." Dishes such as house-made pastas and sausages, pizza, seasonal vegetables and seafood are prepared with as little manipulation as possible, ranging from slow-cooked braises to "à la minute" cuisine. Our full bar features traditional Italian cocktails with a twist, house-made Italian Sodas and limoncellos, and beer and wine sourced from the best of the West Coast and Italy.
We are open for breakfast 7 days week and seeking someone who can lead the breakfast shift. The “Breakfast Supervisor” is an hourly role that oversees the daily operations during the breakfast shift, as well as serving tables.
Duties include:
serving tables and creating positive guest experiences
managing staff timekeeping,
cash handling and dealing with any issues that arise in relation to
receiving deliveries if any and coordinating with kitchen management
maintaining food & beverage quality and safety standards
upholding Tratto service standards and company goals, and ensuring that all staff are achieving these
handling guest complaints with a hospitality-first mindset, any special guest/hotel requests
reporting and staff or guests issues/incidents to management so they can properly act upon
