Companion Bakeshop is a locally owned, quality-driven bakery in Santa Cruz, CA. We have been named Best Bread by Santa Cruz County for the past decade and we take pride in making the best, organic pastries and sourdough in the area.
The Delivery Team is in charge of delivering bread and pastry across Santa Cruz County to our wholesale partners, along with delivering product between both of our own Cafe locations (Westside & Aptos). Our Drive Team is vital to both the greater Companion team – from delivering product for the shelves of our Retail Teams to bringing product to pick up points for our Farmers Market Teams – as well as our customers, who get to enjoy everything we make.

We are looking for individuals who are:
Dedicated, thorough in their work, highly attentive to detail and punctual, able to work on a timeline, able to work a shift autonomously (after training), love bread and pastry, and have a passion and interest in working with a fun and efficient team in a fast-paced bakery! You must also provide references who can vouch for near-perfect attendance records and punctuality.

Compensation:
Paid training.
Starting rate $17.50/hr
Position collects tips averaging approx $2/hr on top of hourly wage.
Position is subject to reviews and incremental raises as benchmarks of the roll are met.
Currently a part-time position, though full-time may be available for the right individual.
Requirements for the positions:
Prior food industry and/or customer service experience preferred but not required.
Must be at least 21 years of age or older with a clean driving record and in-stante (California) driver’s license.
Willingness to work a 8-9 hour dynamic shift - standing, sitting, driving, and lifting
Ability to punctually and reliably work a 4:30am-12:30pm shift
Willingness and ability to move quickly, and able to lift 50 lbs.
Work at least one weekend day weekly
Works well with a team and respects leadership roles but is also comfortable working independently
Priority given to those with 6 or more years of driving experience.
