Founded in San Francisco's Mission District, Wise Sons is California-inspired Jewish deli food with roots in tradition and an eye on the future, for Jews who like food and food lovers who like Jews. IN A NUTSHELL:
Our Farmers Market and Pop Up Supervisor position is a part time role and requires an extremely detail-oriented individual who excels at time management and customer service. You must have a valid driver's license and the ability to read delivery documents, customer order information, directions, etc. in English.
Saturday and Sunday availability required. Start time between 5:30AM - 6:30AM. You may work at any of the following Wise Sons farmers markets each weekend:
Saturday Ferry Building Farmers Market
Saturday Palo Alto Farmers Market
Sunday San Rafael Farmers Market
Sunday Stonestown Farmers Market
You will also assist with pop ups across the Bay Area and help with delivering catering orders as needed.
THE DETAILS:
Safe Driving and vehicle maintenance: :
Maintain our company vehicles, keeping them clean and operational for use in making deliveries within San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area
Wise Sons Brand Ambassador responsibilities:
Run a clean and organized booth with proper signage and health code/fire compliance
Ensure market team is following the Wise Sons dress code
Attend meetings with Farmers Market organizers as a Wise Sons representative
Farmers Market Operations:
Oversee market team members, starting from morning load-out to the end of service and cash close
Provide excellent customer service
Promote weekly specials and holiday menus; ensure all team members are properly trained
Monitor complaints and address concerns and feedback, as necessary
Maintain labeling, display, and promotion of Wise Sons retail products
Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure food quality, consistency, and speed of service are maintained
Ensure cleanliness and safe food handling practices are followed, including proper food storage, proper cooling and holding temperatures, labeling, and FIFO-ing
Financial management:
Track and report sales; handle cash; restock; change market deposits
Collaborate with Kitchen Manager to maintain food costs, product ordering and inventory
Pop-up and Catering Delivery responsibilities:
Ensure all food is prepared by correct time, organized, labeled and branded appropriately and quantities are correct
Help ensure smooth transportation of orders to customers, ensuring orders are delivered on time and set up (if necessary) to company specifications
Ensure any special instructions and/or requests from customers are followed
Assist with setup/breakdown if requested
THE QUALITIES and REQUIREMENTS to succeed:
Have a valid California Driver’s license; previous professional driving experience is a plus
Willingness to work a flexible schedule; weekends required
Ability to read delivery documents, customer order information, directions, etc. in English; basic Spanish language skills strongly preferred but not required
Adhere to Wise Sons dress code (branded uniform items are provided by Wise Sons)
Must be tech savvy or willing to learn; platforms we use include Paylocity, Square POS, and Slack
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with coworkers and customers
Highly organized, able to multitask and easily adapt to change; Strong time management skills
Passion for outstanding customer service
Food Handler's Certificate
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
