About Us:
XICA is a vibrant Chicana style restaurant located inside the historical Levi’s Plaza of San Francisco, dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience with authentic flavors, a warm atmosphere and known for having the best gluten-free kitchen in the area. We are currently seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Part-Time Busser/Runner to join our team. This entry-level position offers the opportunity for growth.
Job Responsibilities:
-Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area promptly and accurately.
-Clear and reset tables efficiently between guests.
-Assist servers in ensuring all guest needs are met, including refilling drinks and attending to special requests.
-Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, service stations, and restrooms.
-Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and communication.
-Adhere to all health and safety regulations in compliance with San Francisco and California laws.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service role is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Other duties as assigned, not limited to assisting with and supporting service staff as needed.
Shift Availability:
We are looking for two candidates who can cover 4-5 shifts, Monday, Tuesday-Saturday typically from:
- Day Shift: 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM (9:30a-4:30p Saturdays)
- PM shift: 5:30 PM-9:30 PM (Saturdays- 4:30 PM-close)
Please note that shift times are subject to change based on the needs of the restaurant
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and a passion for customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is a plus, but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
