Bilingual Board of Supervisors' Aide (English/Spanish)

The County of Sonoma is seeking a skilled administrative professional to serve as a Board of Supervisors’ Aide for the First Supervisorial District. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a Supervisor and begin building a strong foundation for a career in public policy. As a Board of Supervisors’ Aide, you perform a wide variety of administrative tasks to include the following:
Receiving and responding to constituent inquires - written and/or verbally in Spanish and English
Assisting Field Representatives to develop content for newsletters, websites, and social media
Assisting in monitoring social media for constituent messages requesting assistance
Assisting in uplifting community events with the District 1 team
Reviewing and answering correspondence; responding to inquiries as directed and referring inquiries to proper agencies, County departments, or nonprofits for action
Advising the Supervisor on issues of interest, meeting dates, and other deadlines
Establishing and maintaining records and files
Coordinating Supervisor’s calendars in coordination with the District Director, providing general administrative support, and preparing and processing a variety of documents and reports
Researching policy and legislation and collecting data pertinent to a wide variety of community and private interests and governmental issues to help uplift the First District
Facilitating and supervising public meetings with the Municipal Advisory Committees (MAC) and Sonoma Valley Community Advisory Commission (SVCAC) as well as other ceremonies and events or meetings with the Supervisor as needed
