Scopelist is seeking a Part-Time Government Contracts Specialist to help us expand our reach into the government sector by identifying, pursuing, and securing contracts for our diverse range of products, including rifle scopes, binoculars, rangefinders, outdoor gear, firearms, and firearms parts. This role is essential in delivering innovative solutions and requires a professional with a keen understanding of government procurement processes, a passion for the outdoor and firearms industry, and ideally, experience in tactical, military, or police sectors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
Identify and research available government (local, county, state, federal, military, etc.) contracts that match Scopelist’s product offerings.
Develop and execute strategies for bidding on and securing government contracts.
Prepare, review, and submit proposals and bids in accordance with government requirements and deadlines.
Maintain a pipeline of active and qualified opportunities.
Establish and maintain relationships with government procurement officers and related personnel.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information and documentation for proposals.
Present Scopelist’s products and solutions to government agencies through proposals, presentations, and demonstrations.
Ensure compliance with all government regulations and requirements during the bidding and contract fulfillment process.
Provide feedback to the product management team regarding government procurement trends and customer requirements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market and industry trends related to government procurement.
Frequent communication with internal stakeholders regarding progress and challenges in the procurement process.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3 years of experience in government contracting, procurement, or a related field.
Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
Experience in one or more of the following industries is preferred: firearms, outdoor gear, or related.
Tactical, military, and/or police experience is a plus.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Google Docs and similar software.
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and ability to work independently.
