We are looking for an Aide - Direct Service Professional/Aide to support an active and social 22 year old male who is nonverbal and has both intellectual and developmental disabilities. He resides in southern Novato and enjoys being out in the community every day.
The following shifts are available:
Mondays and Wednesdays: 4pm - 10pm
Overnight shifts (2-3 overnight shifts during the week are available) and it is from 10pm-9am
NOTE: requires someone to soothe him to facilitate him falling asleep. There is a separate bedroom available for you to sleep in while he sleeps.
Job Responsibilities May Include:
- Assistance with daily living tasks including meal preparation, medication management, personal hygiene and personal care (must be comfortable with assisting with toileting and changing pull-ups as he is schedule trained but does have occasional accidents ), dressing and ensuring the individual’s safety and well being
- Directly participate in recreational and adaptive activities designed to promote physical activity such as adaptive swim and walks/hikes
- Provide transportation for community outings
- Create a positive and enjoyable environment where both you and the individual you care for can have fun and build meaningful connections.

High level of accountability and dependability
Experience working with individuals who are nonverbal or supporting people with disabilities is preferred
Valid CA driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to pass LiveScan fingerprint clearance and background check
Ability to lift 50 lbs and comfortable providing physical and verbal redirecting
Prior experience working as a DSP, CNA, or similar role in a related field
Afternoon pay shift is currently $30/hour
Overnight pay shift is currently $26/hour
Seeking a minimum 1 year commitment.
This is a legal W2 type position.
