Position Summary
As an ILS Provider, you will play a vital role in supporting and teaching functional life skills to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Under the guidance of the ILS Program Manager, you will help individuals achieve their goals, improve their quality of life, and foster independence. This role involves working directly with clients in their homes and communities to address areas such as advocacy, cooking, home maintenance, accessing resources, managing appointments, and transportation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and group support to individuals with disabilities based on their Individual Support Plans (ISP).
Teach and model independent living skills, such as meal preparation, budgeting, personal care, home organization, and community navigation.
Support clients in accessing community resources and attending appointments.
Write quarterly progress reports and maintain accurate documentation on client goals and achievements.
Collaborate with clients, families, service coordinators, and support teams to ensure comprehensive care and goal alignment.
Transport clients to and from appointments, social activities, and errands within a 35-40 mile radius.
Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay informed on best practices and company updates.
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Reliable and safe transportation, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and current vehicle registration.
Ability to pass a background check.
Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Bilingual fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Korean, and English is highly preferred.
Preferred:
Experience in caregiving, ILS, SLS, CNA, teaching, coaching, or working with individuals with disabilities.
Strong communication skills and a personable, motivating attitude.
Adaptability and creativity in problem-solving.
