Counselor Supervisor

Santa Rosa Treatment Program, one of the leading outpatient programs for treating Opiate Use Disorder, is seeking a Counselor Supervisor to join our team. Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, the Counselor Supervisor provides supervision to and evaluation of the Counselor 1 position. The Counselor Supervisor also provides case management, individual counseling, education, and evaluations to clients of SRTP and performs related duties as required. This position requires a clear understanding of State and Federal regulations (for Title IX), the ability to work independently and exceptional interpersonal relationship skills. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

● In conjunction with the other Counselor Supervisors, provide supervision over the program counselors which includes chart audits, reporting, and conducting trainings

● Maintains a caseload, and provides individual counseling to clients

● Performs intake interviews, including assessment of current use and appropriateness for the program, review of substance abuse history, creation of individualized treatment plans and education on program policies and procedures

● Maintaining charts in accordance with the California Department of Health standards, as well as other city, county, federal, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities standards

● Organizing and participating in monthly chart reviews

● Auditing charts daily and countersigning documents when appropriate

● Participating in weekly required staff trainings

Qualifications

● Must have and maintain a Counselor Certification as defined by the California Code of Regulations, chapter 8: Certification of Alcohol & Other Drug Counselors.

● A minimum of two years supervisory experience with responsibilities involving drug and alcohol treatment and education in psychology, sociology and/or other closely related fields.

● A clear understanding of State and Federal regulations (for Title IX)

● Strong mentoring, interpersonal communication, and training skills

● Solid computer skills, including email and MS Office

● Strong time management skills and attention to detail

● The ability to communicate with a diverse population

This is a full-time position from 5:45 AM TO 2:15 PM Monday through Friday. Benefits include PTO, paid holidays, health insurance options plus full vision and dental coverage. Pay is dependent on both certification and years experience.
