Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff. This position requires a strong understanding of aseptic techniques, dental terminology, and the ability to work efficiently within a team.
Duties
Perform sterilization of dental instruments and equipment following established protocols.
Ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
Assist in the preparation of treatment areas by ensuring all necessary instruments are sterile and ready for use.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless workflow and patient care.
Utilize systems such as Dentrix for scheduling and patient management.
Stay updated on advancements in sterilization techniques and dental practices.
Requirements
Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control practices is essential.
Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry concepts.
Experience in Endodontics or as a dental receptionist is a plus.
Proficiency in medical coding is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Previous experience assisting in a dental setting is preferred but not required.
