I am a busy independent woman that works full-time. I have been involved in the disability community and strongly believe in independent living philosophy. I like to foster a
community of dignity and respect between me and my attendants. I also like to
have fun and develop strong relationships with my attendants. I have several
attendants that have worked for me for many years.I am looking for someone trustworthy, reliable & responsible. I travel throughout the country frequently for work and am looking for someone who is interested and has flexibility to travel on occasion.
You will be doing personal care which includes bathing and dressing. No heavy
lifting required. Other duties include housekeeping and cooking. Vegetarians ok
but must be willing to cook meat. Able to drive and have a valid driver’s license
a plus. You must like dogs as I have a service dog. You will be required to do some basic animal care.
I live near the Ashby BART station in North Oakland and prefer someone who
lives within 5 miles of me.
Looking for someone to help put me in bed, get up in mornings and to cook
dinner. Currently I’m looking for someone to cook dinner on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays approximately from 6-8 and bedtime shift between 9:30-10:30 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. I am also looking for a Saturday morning person from 9-12. My shifts are
short. These hours are a little flexible and will be discussed in detail at the interview.
I use IHSS and am generous with hours so if you are already signed up that
would be great but not necessary. I also sometimes pay out of pocket. MUST
have a Social Security card and Identification. Fingerprinting required. You must
be legal to work in the country. This job is not under the table.
