Description: Provides compassionate and personalized non-medical care to elderly, disabled, or recovering individuals in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direct personal care and assistance to clients in their homes, following care plans
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
Assist with medication reminders (non-administration)
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary
Perform light housekeeping tasks and maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities
Report any changes in the client's condition or concerns to the appropriate supervisor
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a minimum of 6-months of paid professional experience or be an RN, CNA, HHA, LVN, LPN or current nursing student
Registered as a Home Care Aide on the Guardian Site, undergo a Livescan background check and get TB tested showing negative results (will reimburse for costs after 40-hours worked)
A minimum of five (5) hours of entry-level training before working directly with clients and a minimum of five (5) hours of annual training (will assist in meeting training requirements if not yet met)
Basic English proficiency for both verbal and written
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Compassionate and patient demeanor
Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and bending
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, if applicable
