The Sequoias San Francisco near Japan town is seeking to hire two On-Call Housekeepers. The work schedules include weekends. The work location is 1400 Geary Blvd in San Francisco, CA. This position announcement may close at any time. The starting hourly rate is $18.91 per hour and this is a union position. This position is Sign On and Retention Bonus eligible. $1,875.00 over two years.
Job Summary: Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks in maintaining residential units, nursing facility, public areas, offices, common areas or other assigned areas of the facility in a sanitary and attractive condition.
Position: This position performs cleaning duties in residential apartments, skilled nursing facility, public areas, and offices as necessary including the cleaning of bathrooms, kitchenettes and other special cleaning assignments as well as vacuuming of furniture, floors and drapes. Cleans nursing facility rooms. Handles contaminated waste and linen in compliance with Title 22. Operates buffing and shampooing equipment for floor and carpet maintenance. Cleans and inspects windows, furniture, and laundry. Delivers laundry, packages and miscellaneous items. Prepares furniture placement, drapes, and equipment for special events and social functions. Lifts and carries furniture to accommodate residents and facility needs. Depending on furniture piece, may move large pieces of furniture with assistance of co-worker. Assists with laundry work and follows strict adherence to established safety and infection control standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Good work habits, positive social interaction skills, and demonstrated ability to learn new tasks. Must be able to stand and stoop for long periods of times and lift 75 pounds for twenty feet.
Preferred Qualifications: One or more years of daily residential or hotel housekeeping experience in a large facility similar to the Sequoias San Francisco. Experience with cleaning contaminated areas in compliance with Title 22 and demonstrated knowledge and ability to adhere to safety and infection control standards. Demonstrated ability to lift over 75 pounds, stand for long periods of time, twist, bend, and stoop as needed to complete cleaning tasks on a daily basis. Demonstrated customer service experience.
