The hours of this role are flexible from 20-30 hours, Monday through Friday (could also do weekends), somewhat flexible between 10am-5pm. We would just need to set a consistent schedule.
They're both great people. They are Korean and speak English well. You don't have to be a Korean speaker. Just need to have experience, patience and compassion. They can both walk and are somewhat mobile, she is more mobile than him.
Qualifications:
-Female provider
-In 20s-40s of age and strong/fit due to carrying things up and down stairs to apartment. My uncle has fallen on his walks before and especially wants someone who is strong enough to catch him.
-Have a consistent way to get to work
-Punctual
Tasks include:
-Helping around the house with cleaning and organizing
-Cooking, bonus if you're familiar with Korean food or can learn from recipes (they eat light)
-Driving to get groceries and prescriptions as needed
-Driving one or both for doctor visits
-Taking uncle on walks around the neighborhood
-May make phone calls for them to help navigate the medical system for appointments and questions they have
Experiences:
-You've worked with senior care before
-Be consistent and reliable
-Good communicator
-Cooking and cleaning skills would be preferable
You would be employed through IHSS program so ideal if you are already apart of that system but not required. We can get you signed up if you have interest.
Will go over the job in more details once we talk. The hiring process would include an online face interview to go over the role and questions, and then an in-person meeting with them to make sure its a fit. If we proceed, I'll be training you on their routine for a few days until it feels like you're in a good flow.
