Job Overview

We are seeking to hire immediately a dedicated and organized Dental Office Manager or Front Office Assistant to join our team as either a permanent or temporary employee. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice while our current manager takes a leave of absence. The ideal candidate will have experience with dental terminology and dental software, possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. We are in a crunch and will consider training for the right candidate. Hours are negotiable, salary is negotiable, length of employment is negotiable depending upon the candidate.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment.

Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the calendar efficiently.

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.

Assist with billing and insurance claims processing, including financial management tasks.

Provide support in the management of office supplies and inventory.

Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and assist during procedures as needed.

Handle phone inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental administrative support or a related field is preferred.

Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Epic is a plus.

Knowledge of dental terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the team.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Understanding of budgeting and financial management principles is advantageous.

Experience in supervising staff or assisting in human resources functions is desirable.

A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
