We are a residential mental health care facility and seeking an LVN to start immediately.
You will be managing medication, administering injections, processing intakes and discharges, occasional case management and potentially transporting clients to our other facility, running groups and assisting techs when needed while fostering a safe and supportive environment for our clients.
You will report directly to our RN and work closely with our psychiatrist and clinicians to report client progress and behavior.
This position is unique and requires multi tasking between tech and nursing duties. You will be a team leader at the house and work alongside our techs to support up to twelve residents daily with medication and ADL prompting.
Our clients are physically healthy and are treated for a range of psychiatric conditions from depression and anxiety to thought disorders such as schizophrenia.
We provide medication stabilization along with group and individual therapy in a community environment. Our primary goal is to teach our clients how to manage symptoms so they can move forward ready to live independent and fulfilling lives. Most clients are with is around 30 days.
The ideal candidate for this position is a self starter who is able to work independently as well as collaborate with the team. You are organized with strong communication and documentation skills. Most importantly, you are reliable and a team player!
Must Have
- Current Active LVN license
- Social Security Card
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and DOJ background check
- Clean DMV record
- Reliable references
- Ability to work evenings and Saturdays.
Would be nice to have (not required) Will train the right person that is eager to learn
1.Experience in mental health care or related field.
2. Experience working in a residential healthcare setting
3. CPR and First Aid certification (will be required upon hire)
4. Experience working with Kipu EMR
