We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing, coding, and collections. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Looking for a part-time relaxed hours fully remote. When we have extra billing and coding needs, we will pass on to you!
Duties:
- Review and verify accuracy of billing data
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims
- Resolve billing issues and discrepancies
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and codes (ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG)
- Maintain patient billing records
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding claims
Experience:
- Prior experience in medical billing, coding, or collections
- Proficiency in medical office systems and software
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices
- Familiarity with ICD-9, ICD-10 codes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience in medical collection processes
- Understanding of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding
