Location: Alameda, CA
Private, part-time night nurse needed to manage the care of a 80 y.o. female with a late-life movement disorder similar to Parkinson's disease or ALS. She requires assistance taking night time medications (through feeding tube) and with shifting position every 2 hours. Life expectancy is 6 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer meds (1) midnight (2) 6am
- Measure vital signs
- Shift patient position every 2 hours (10pm-6am)
- Chart all meds and vitals
- Adjust PureWick external catheter and change diapers + bedding as needed
- Alert family members immediately with any issues (family lives in same house)
MUST BE responsible, reliable, respectful, and quiet
REQUIREMENTS
- LVN or RN (students considered on a case-by-case basis)
- Experience with feeding tubes and aspiration prevention
- Experience with bed sore prevention
- Proactive and personable nature
