My 99-year old blind mother is looking for a woman to sleep at her house. She has a daytime live-in caregiver who does the cooking, shopping, doctor’s appointments, laundry, etc and she also has a daytime weekend caregiver. But she would like a 2nd person to sleep at her house so that the daytime caregiver can have her evenings off. We would offer you a free room for a live-in position and $2,500 per month. We would like you to be at the house during the night from 7 PM to 9 AM Saturday through Wednesday with Thursday & Fridays nights off and of course the days would be yours to do as you wish. She has family in the area that helps out from time to time. We want someone with caregiving experience. You would have to help my mom into bed at night, help her get to the bathroom if needed (she on a walker) and change an adult diaper once in a while or sheets if soiled. Also, if the daytime caregiver wants a day off, hopefully you could fill in and we would pay you additionally for that. She wants someone who speaks good English since she is hard of hearing and only hears out of one ear.
My mom would prefer a female.
During the Covid-19 pandemic we would want you to significantly limit the number of people you socialize with or come into contact with.
You will have your own bedroom and would share a bathroom with the daytime caregiver. The home is a spacious 8-room home with a swimming pool in Los Altos, near Rancho Shopping Center.
Prospective applicants must not have a criminal record and a background check will be run.
