We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable individual with a positive attitude and experience to join our professional team. We will train you if you are new to optical. Candidates must be able to work Saturdays. Excellent customer service, fashion sense, and detail oriented. Must have a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor. Be polite and respectful towards patients, doctors, and other team members
Responsibilities include:
Eyewear styling and selection
Discussing lens technology
VSP insurance billing
Adjusting and dispensing glasses
Verifying and explaining insurance coverage to patients
Answering phones and scheduling appointments
Handling patient questions via phone calls, emails and walk insExperience required. We are seeking someone with extensive knowledge of the optical side of optometry who can fit patients for glasses, recommend/explain lens options, train patients on contact lens wear/use, triage glasses problems, perform repairs, bill vision insurances, meet with reps to order frames for the office, maintain inventory, and meet sales goals. Job Duties, including but not limited to:
Work with patients to find correct eyewear
Perform dispensing, promotion, and display tasks
Manage office inventory and optical ordering, including contacts
Train patients how to use contact lenses
Our work week is Tues- Fri 9-6 and
Saturdays, 9-2, will be necessary
Qualifications
ABO certification preferred but not required
Will train the right candidate
Friendly, bright and detail-oriented
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Medical /or retail experience a plus
