Location: Adam’s Point Neighborhood (Lake Merritt, Oakland)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Mid-Afternoon to Early Evening (Dinner Shift, 3-6pm +/- )
Hours: Approximately 3 hours per shift (15 hours weekly)
Pay Rate: $20 - $30 per hour (based on experience)

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced in-home professional to support a couple with their day-to-day activities, including housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and running errands. This role focuses on maintaining a clean, organized, healthy living environment / lifestyle, and cooking one healthy meal per shift. There is no need to provide personal hygiene or self-care assistance, but immunocompromised safety measures should be taken.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Housekeeping: Maintain a pristinely clean home, including regular cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and tidying/organizing of living areas.
- Laundry: Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry, ensuring all linens and clothing are cared for properly.
- Cooking: Prepare one healthy meal per shift according to recipes provided. Must be skilled and confident in the kitchen, able to follow recipes and manage ingredients efficiently.
- Medication and Vitamin Reminders: Ensure that medications and vitamins are taken on schedule.
- Errands: Run errands as needed, such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions.
- Energetic Balance: Interact with clients in a positive, light-hearted manner while being mindful of maintaining a low energetic footprint to avoid disrupting the clients' routines.
Qualifications:
- Experience in housekeeping, cooking, and managing household tasks in a private home setting.
- In-home healthcare experience is a plus, particularly if you have experience in maintaining a clean and safe environment for immunocompromised individuals.
- Must be a self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of the clients.
- Applicants should be located nearby Lake Merritt to ensure an easy commute for a short shift.
- Preferably a “home body” type who avoids crowded places / environments that could increase the risk of bringing contagions into the home.
- Commitment to safety and health protocols to protect clients from potential illness.
