BASIC FUNCTION

A Physicians Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who works as part of an interdisciplinary team that provides state of the art rehabilitative care for people living with pain. The ideal provider will have worked with patients living with chronic illness and is comfortable with an interdisciplinary and goal-oriented approach to care. The headquarters office is located in Los Gatos, CA. We are a multi provider group of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialists and we have multi-location clinics.

Previous experience working with patients with industrial injuries is not necessary, but is also desired. Bilingual Spanish/English is also preferred, but not required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluation and treatment

Follow-up visits

Progress/special reports

Advanced Practitioner to physician phone calls

Prescription refills

Trigger point, bursa and/or joint injections

Completes all necessary reports in a timely manner.

Facilitates appropriate medical authorization by overseeing justification for care

Communicates with referral sources regarding medical needs and authorization issues

Performs peer to peer reviews and appeals

Regular communication with all patients regarding medical needs, follow-up care, discharge status and/or discharge instructions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience is preferred. Experience and/or an interest in musculoskeletal conditions and pain management are preferred. Current license is required. Excellent organization, problem solving, communication, presentation and decision making skills are also required.
