Pacific Fertility Center (www.pacificfertilitycenter.com) is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to join our team in San Francisco. PFC has been around since 1999 and is one of the top fertility centers in the country. All of our physicians are board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialists (REIs). We offer treatment ranging from In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) to Egg Freezing. The ideal candidate will educate, treat, and inform patients for their appointment. Potential candidates for this role should be excellent communicators who excel at developing and maintaining patient relationships.

HOURS: As needed, 7:30am - 1:00pm. Weekend and holiday rotation is required. New Hire training will be: 3 days/wk (flexible) for 3 - 4 weeks.

Responsibilities include:

Assist physicians with patient care, treatments and procedures

Prepare patients for exams and procedures

Help to safely positionand transfer patients undergoing procedures requiring anesthesia

Provide ultrasound guidance during procedures

Set-up instruments, equipment and sterile trays for exams and procedures

Clean, wrap and sterilize instruments

Accurately label and prepare specimens for sending to outside laboratories

Organize, stock and clean exam rooms

Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in electronic medical records

Skills & Requirements:

Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification REQUIRED

Phlebotomy experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent required

Proficiency in keyboarding skills and experience with electronic medical records

Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA requirements

Per California State Public Health Officer Order of August 5, 2021, must have received and present proof of a COVID-19 vaccination prior to hire date.

On site parking provided. The clinic is located along the Embarcadero, near Fisherman’s Wharf, with a complimentary shuttle to/from the Montgomery BART station.

Pay: $25-30/hr

Per the City and County of San Francisco Department of Public Health, must have received and present proof of a COVID-19 vaccination and booster prior to hire date.
