We are an established one doctor general and cosmetic dentistry practice for adults. We have a beautiful office with a great team that truly enjoys working with each other. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our office. Only 8 patient's per day, one hour per patient and no double booking. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, provide preventive care, and educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices. Our ideal team member has a positive attitude, easily develops rapport with their patients, and has a gentle hand. This position is one, two or three days a week. Days are negotiable. Office hours are Mon thru Thurs 7:45am to 5pm. Closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Compensation is $65hr. plus regular bonus. Recent graduates encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Identify conditions like caries, gingivitis or periodontitis. All aspects of hygiene including scaling and root planing. Administration of local anesthesia, soft tissue curretage, and nitrous oxide
- Conduct thorough oral examinations to identify any signs of oral diseases or abnormalities
- Take digital dental x-rays for diagnostic purposes.
- Apply fluoride treatments.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care
- Cleaning/prepping operatories and sterilizing instruments
- Follow all HIPAA and OSHA guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment
