Location: Pleasanton, CA
Registered Dental Assistant Responsibilities
-Greet patients and ensure their comfortability during the entire appointment
-Take and document vital signs of dental health and hygiene, take x-rays of patient’s mouths, and when needed apply topical anesthetic for dental procedures
-Prepare, sterilize and put away equipment, instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials in designated areas for exams and procedures
-Assist dentist and dental hygienist during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team
-Adhere to all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after each use
-Schedule appointments for patient care follow up, answer any questions patients may have about dental hygiene, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patient’s teeth and gums after treatment
Registered Dental Assistant Qualifications
-Associate’s degree or certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required
-State licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
-Current BLS/CPR certification required
-Previous dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant (3 year) necessary
-Experience with dental software (Dentrix Ascend, SoftDent, Vatech), updating patient histories, computer skills, Itero scanning
-Strong interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, an excellent communication skills are essential
Available Shifts:
Part time Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday 9am-5pm
Full time Tuesday - Friday 9am-5pm and Every Other Monday and Saturday 9am-5pm
Compensation
$29-34/hr DOE
