ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the guidance of the Integrated Behavioral Health Director:
Maintain client panel, conduct intakes, provide therapy services. Develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
Complete documentation using the electronic health record in a timely fashion while adhering to related laws and regulations for documentation.
Attend weekly staff meetings.
Meet with consulting psychiatrist to discuss cases as necessary.
Provide supervision/training to new staff or interns if needed.
Provide all services in accordance with accepted standards of care and Axis protocols within the parameters of agency contractual requirements.
Assist medical providers in diagnostic clarification where needed.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Experience providing individual psychotherapy. Experience providing therapy to children/teens, group, families, couples is a plus.
Experience working with individuals who have co-morbid presentations.
Ability to utilize evidence based approaches, while also tailoring approach to client’s specific needs.
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team in a medical setting.
Good communication & strong documentation skills.
Computer knowledge and ability to type is required. Previous experience using electronic health records is a plus.
Bilingual Spanish speaking required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California Board of Behavioral Sciences) OR Ph.D./Psy.D or EdD (must be licensed as a Psychologist with the California Board of Psychology)

Loan repayment application – up to $50K for the first 2 years (through the National Health Service Corp Program)

As a Primary Care Provider with Axis Community Health you may qualify for up to $50,000 in loan repayment in exchange for a two-year service commitment.
Employees who are re-hired, internal transfers, internal promotions, consultants, contractors, or temporary staff are not eligible for this bonus. Providers must complete 90 days of active employment with Axis and maintain FTE eligibility to qualify for this bonus. Direct hires will receive a $15,000 bonus. Providers that are hired as an employee through an agency will receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Work is normally performed in a typical office work environment. While performing the responsibilities of this position, the individual is required to have ambulatory skills sufficient to visit various parts of the organization. Requires the ability to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30lbs. Requires sitting and standing for extensive periods of time, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other equipment for extended periods of time. Travel to other Axis health centers and other local travel will be required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
